  An impeccable motel, upon entry to the sizable and well priced room; a feeling of luxury and comfort is presented. After a long day on the road the Carmilla Sands Motel provides an excellent rest point due to the friendly easy going service welcoming you with a great smile. When on the long Australian roads a nice meal is always appreciated and the Carmilla Sands Motel provides a lovely evening meal to finish the up the day. However I must say an extra 50ml on the shower curtain wouldn't go a stray.

  There are minimal shopping facilities at Carmila. Primarily a small pub with an attached store besides a 24/7 Service Station at the Highway.

  A clean well built motel about 500 meters off the Bruce Highway. Excellent facilities and friendly staff. There is the rail line about 250 meters the other side to the highway but this posed nil noise problems to us.

  This is a neat and tidy motel. The rooms are nice. A bit of a surprise to be honest. For $90 I wasn't expecting much. But this is money well spent after a 10 hour drive. 100 kilometres south of Mackay. There is also a 24 hour service station on the corner about 350 metres that does nice Aussie food.

  Very good stay. Convenient car park, Close to petrol station,shop and beach,Stayed with children. Photos do not do justice to the place. Stunning location . Freindly family owned,maintained well. Will strongly recommend.
